District sport trials:
Expression of interests are on the sports noticeboard in the CSA for trials which are running this term and early next term. District trials are only for students turning 10-12 this year and only if you play at the highest level for a club. If your child writes their name on the expression of interest form Mrs Marks knows who to talk to when the paperwork is sent out by the district. Attached is a repeat of the information that was sent out in the newsletter last week.
Currently on the board are lists for this term:
AFL, Basketball, Golf, Netball, Touch, Volleyball, Squash and Hockey
Just added to the board are lists for early next term:
Soccer and Rugby league BOYS(Girls isn't until term 3)
NEXT MONDAY at first break I will run a mini trial for Netball on the netball court to select the children who will be going to district trials. Please remind your child to have their name on the list by then.
The following Monday I will do the same for Touch. Again, please make sure their name is on the list.
Cross country training
Cross country training begins this week. Monday after school with Mrs Marks, Wednesday before school with Mr Horne and Friday before school with Mr Reis. Students will need to meet the supervising teacher on the handball courts in front of Mrs Forde's room. Training will be cancelled if it is raining. Attached is a repeat of the permission form that was in the newsletter last week. Additional copies are at the office.
Regional swimming carnival
On Wednesday Xavier Z, Ella H, Savannah F, Regan W, Tilly W and Sienna L are competing at the regional swimming carnival. We wish them luck.
