Deputy's News

Dear Families and Friends

Being on time and ready to learn.

At the start of every year and throughout the year, students are learning how important it is to be on time and ready to learn.   Students are reminded that being organised is the key to getting the most out of their learning so time is not wasted and tasks can be completed properly.

One way to do this is for children to make sure their desks are tidy and their equipment is ready to use for the day.

Arriving at school on time also ensures a good start to the day and gives the children time to get their belongings organised and ready.

Being on time and organised is a life-long skill which we should all try to instil in every student.  It is something that they can transfer to extra-curricular activities and everyday life.

If you discuss this with your children and try to make being organised and on time a priority in your life, it can help the whole family too.

Please remember that children are expected to wait in the CSA before School between 8:15am until the bell goes at 8:40am. The children are supervised during this time. Prep children can be dropped straight to Prep after 8:40am

ABSENCES: Please call our Absence line to notify us when your children are going to be away. The Absence line is a message service and operates 24hrs a day. Leave a message and a reason for absence and then we will not need to send a reason for absence SMS.

The Absence line number is: 3425 6160

Parents are reminded that dropping and picking up children in the bus zone is not permitted. That area is extremely busy and congested with buses coming and going and it is an important safety issue.  Also, please be mindful to supervise your younger children closely while waiting for older children outside the gate. We do not want any of our children getting hurt. Thank you for keeping our children safe.
