P&C News
WELCOME TO 2022
Welcome to all returning and new families! The P&C Association is excited to get the year underway, with a renewed focus on supporting the things that matter to students and families.
After some successful years of fundraising and careful saving, there will be planning undertaken to prioritise funding initiatives that support our objective of enhancing the school experience of all students. Additionally, with volunteers becoming scarcer, there will be changes ahead to accommodate the reduced support for key services and events.
2022 will be an opportunity to get back to basics, with the P&C providing an avenue for families to engage with the school and other parents, share insights and feedbacks, raise suggestions and concerns and genuinely contribute to our school and students’ success.
WELCOME TO ALISON HIBBERD
We’re pleased to welcome Alison as Tuckshop Convenor. Alison will leverage her many years of Outside School Hours Care experience and has already kicked off the new year planning for the first day of service on Wednesday 16 February.
Alison can be contacted on tuckshop@dayboropandc.org.au
or just pop in and say hello!
TUCKSHOP – WEDNESDAYS ONLY FOR TERM 1
You would now have received a letter via email containing key updates. This includes information regarding the unfortunate announcement that the Tuckshop will not open on Fridays for Term 1. Due to a lack of volunteers, the tuckshop simply does not have enough hands on deck to serve our children. With the support of families, we hope to turn this around for Term 2.
NEXT MEETING
We invite all parents and interested community members to come along to our first general meeting on Monday 14 February at 6:30pm via Teams. Please contact secretary@dayboropandc.org.au to be provided a link to this virtual meeting.
Thanks,
Mareeta, President
