Library Borrowing

A reminder that borrowing for 2021 has now finished and we require all loans to be returned as soon as possible.  Notes and invoices for missing books will be sent home in this week.    

Book Donation from Helping Hands

A very big thank-you to Helping Hands who donated book vouchers which allowed each class in the school to select a book for their classroom. 

RoboBay Robotics Competition

Congratulations to all of the teams who attended the RoboBay robotics competition last week.  Students attended the competition not knowing what their challenge would be until they arrived at the USC campus at Moreton Bay.  All of the teams worked cooperatively to code robots to move models of famous Australian Landmarks to set locations on a large map.  We look forward to continuing our robotics program into 2022.

Library Award Winners

Summer Reading Club 2021

The Summer Reading Club is set to begin on the 1^st of December.  The goal of this initiative is to keep children reading and engaged with stories throughout the Summer holiday break.  Participants can register to join in with a range of activities facilitated by the State Library of Queensland.  Students will need to ask parents/carers for permission before registering.

Join in with the Summer Reading Club through Moreton Bay Regional Libraries.  Reading competitions and prizes are available through the Moreton Bay Regional Libraries.  Keep an eye out for displays and activities in the libraries, art galleries and museums across the region during the holiday break.

The Summer Reading Club challenge sheet (pictured below) is available for collection from the Library.  Students who return completed challenge sheets after the holiday break are welcome to come and collect an incentive prize from the Library in recognition of their participation.
