Over the past fortnight our children have shown high levels of interest in our sandpit and loose parts area. The sandpit has opened opportunities for children to sculpt a variety of animals, cars and even a car couch. Children have shown collaboration, commitment and pride when constructing and sharing their creations.
The loose parts area has promoted cubby house building, tyre stacking and balancing on tyres to name a few. This area is entirely child-centred and allows children to take educated risks and develop collaboration and resilience.
We also welcomed back Miss Katie after she completed her third-year teaching practicum. Miss Katie was extremely excited to see all the changes in the service and catch up with children and families alike.

Vacation care bookings have opened for December/January. Children can be booked in via the iparent portal, under the bookings tab. A reminder that children must be enrolled prior to commencing care (how to enrol is further down). We have some fantastic excursions, incursions and theme days planned, so stay tuned for the brochure (current families should have received a copy via the iparent portal communications).

A reminder that children require a hat and re-fillable drink bottle each session. Please ensure these are correctly labelled should they get misplaced.

If your child/ren will be absent from a session, please ensure they are marked absent on the iparent portal. This is done under the bookings tab by selecting the date/session and clicking the red x on the right. Please see one of our educators for support if you are experiencing issues making or managing your bookings. Failure to notify us of absences in after school care means educators are having to search for children and a no-show fee may be applied to your account. A reminder that bookings with less than 24hrs will need to be made via contacting the service on 0459 991 697.

Visit www.helpinghandsnetwork.com.au , click Register on the top right corner, select Dayboro as your service and fill in all the details to register your iParent Portal account and enrol. When this is submitted, we will be in touch as soon as possible to support the finalisation of your enrolment and initial bookings.
