Deputy's News
Dear Families and Friends
World Teachers’ Day
On Friday 29th October (it’s now a holiday so we are celebrating our hard working teachers on Monday 1 November) we recognise and celebrate the important work our teachers do here at Dayboro State School. We are very fortunate to have a hard working, caring and supportive team of professionals who strive every day to provide a quality education for our students. Every day they are making a difference and we thank you teachers, for your dedication and the positive impact you deliver.
INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
We welcome Mr Yates, our new Instrumental Teacher, to our Dayboro team. He is here every Tuesday and has already started rehearsing Band Tuesday mornings. We also had some students attend the Advanced Music Workshops this week and wish them all the best.
PREP ORIENTATION MORNING
This term we are holding our Prep 2022 Orientation mornings for students so they can visit our school and learn more about our Prep classrooms. The first visit is on Monday 25th October from 9-9:30am. Some children will be attending with their local Kindy. Parents are also welcome to bring their children not attending childcare that day. The uniform shop will also be open during this time so parents can try on and purchase uniforms.
Now that the days are starting to get warmer please remember that it is an expectation that all children wear hats during play times and PE lessons. The rule is “No Hat, no Play!”
Children that do not wear hats are expected to be in the CSA areas during break times.
BOOK WEEK

Book Week celebrations. Wednesday 20th October.
Don’t forget your costumes. Theme: “Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds.” Costume parade up on oval 9am. Parents welcome.
Thank you to our dedicated and hard working P&C for another successful Colour Run. The smiles on the children’s faces said it all. What a great way to kick off the term. The amount of money we raised as a community is outstanding and the P&C have exciting plans to use this money to help brighten our school environment. Look out for more information to come.

Please remember to pack swimming caps.
Children will be swimming every Thursday and Friday for 5 weeks- a total of 10 lessons. The last day of swimming will be Thursday 18th November. Please make sure monies and permission slips have been finalized. The swimming timetable is below for interested parents.
Dayboro's Got Talent
How exciting! Auditions for our Dayboro's got talent competition began today. We had singers, dancers, gymnasts and even a French Horn player. We are looking forward to them performing for the whole school towards the end of the term.

Thank you from Mrs Ryan
