Library and Maker Space News
Welcome Back
We trust that everyone had an amazing break and had an opportunity to squeeze in some reading.
We are currently adding the finishing touches to our Library displays in preparation for our Book Week celebrations. Art works that have been created by students have been displayed in the Library to help us get into the theme of “Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds” and they all look incredible.
Book Week Celebrations– October 18th to October 22nd
This year we will be celebrating Book Week from October 18th – October 22nd. Students are welcome to come along to the Library during lunch breaks each day of our celebration week to join in with the activities we have organised to celebrate Australian children’s literature.
We will host our annual Book Week Character Costume parade on Wednesday the 20th of October from 9.00am on the school oval. Prizes for the Character Costume Parade have been generously donated by Helping Hands. Thank you for your wonderful donation!
We look forward to seeing everyone’s fabulous costumes!
Please Return Library Books
All Library books currently on loan are now overdue and need to be returned as soon as possible.
We have a range of new picture books, novels, graphic novels and non-fiction books on display this week that will be available for loan from Friday. Students are reminded that they are able to make suggestions for books to add to the Library collection; the addition of requested books is possible due to rewards generated through Book Club.
Have a great week!
