COLOUR RUN

This Friday is our Crazy Colour Day! The event will kick off at 1pm at the school oval. We look forward to seeing students (and parents) get involved.

If any parents would like to get involved by volunteering, please sign up on the Volunteer Register but even if you can’t help, we’d love to see you down there on the day cheering the kids on… Everyone’s invited! For a gold coin donation, parents and staff are invited to participate in their own colour run! Wear a white shirt!

Please remember to keep collecting donations, so we will be able to brighten up our school with fun murals. So far, we have raised $10,021! Donations must be received online or at the school office by 11th October 2021.

TUCKSHOP

Mrs. Taylor recently announced her intention to retire at the end of this year. Alison has been involved with the tuckshop and school for over 27 years and it feels like the end of an era. We can’t thank Alison enough for her dedication, commitment, energy, and no-nonsense approach and wish her all the very best. We are now recruiting for a tuckshop convenor for 2022 with applications closing 15 October 2021. More information can be found on the school website or by contacting president@dayboropandc.org.au

GRANT SUCCESS

The P&C was successful in their application to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund. We have been awarded $6,500 to rejuvenate the school oval.

What a fantastic night! Thank you to all our volunteers who helped out on the night. Thanks also to Ulrike and Denise for their contributions of jelly cups and cupcakes.

P&C MEETING UPDATE

In last month’s general meeting, the P&C Committee discussed several school and P&C operational matters.

• Mrs Douglas presented the final proposal for a “mini” Student Resource Scheme for 2022 which was not endorsed by the P&C. This will be explored further for 2023.
• De-briefed several events & activities including Prep Open Day, Father’s Day Stall, Booklists, and the Family Dance Night.
• Planned for the upcoming Colour Run.
