  • School Photos

We still have a busy final two weeks with students’ participation in:

    • Our Senior Athletics Carnival (years 3-6) – will be rescheduled to Tuesday 22 June
    • A Bike Road Safety Education talk (Year 4 and 5) – 17 June
    • A Performance for Year 3-6 students by PRHS performing arts students – 17 June

Thank you to all the staff who have made these events and curriculum supports possible. What a rich learning environment we are creating for our students!

Reporting

Our dedicated teachers have been working very hard to complete summative assessment tasks with our students really trying to assess what our students know, moderate these assessments with fellow staff members and then using student folios of work to make on-balanced judgements for reporting to parents.

Next week you will receive your child’s first semester report card via email. These report cards are also available online via QParents. It is important to recognise that the Australian Curriculum achievement standards clearly outline the expectations of a ‘C’, ‘Sound’ or ‘Working With’ standard. If your child receives a ‘C’ (or equivalent), they are operating at the year level standard/expectation. A ‘C’ means that the student is achieving everything required for the subject at that stage in their corresponding year level at school. Therefore, attaining a ‘C for their Achievement means that they are on target for their age and year level.

Teachers have included next steps comments in your child’s report cards. We look forward to continuing the partnersip with parents to work towards success for your child.

Tuckshop – what a great resource for our community

Thank you to our P&C for their continual management of our school tuckshop, providing this service to our parents and carers. We all know that our tuckshop coordinator, Alison Taylor does a wonderful job, however unfortunately Mrs Taylor has been trying to run the tuckshop with very limited volunteers (it is essential to have at least two volunteers each Wednesday and 3 each Friday).

Can you help? We are looking for tuckshop volunteers – no experience required, all training is done on site. If you are able to spare one or two days per term, please contact our dedicated P&C or click on the following link.

Have a great week!
