Deputy's News
Dear Families and Friends
This week we celebrate and recognise what it means to be Under 8!
At Dayboro we highly value and support our early childhood team in nurturing and unlocking the vast potential our Prep- Year 2 children all possess. Our younger age cohorts bring such a wonderful sense of curiosity, wonder and playfulness to our school environment and it is these qualities we treasure and encourage in all our students.
Like our young children, we should never forget what it means to ask questions, enquire thoughtfully, ponder purposefully and generally have a sense of curiosity about the world around us. Every great discovery, advancement in medical science, new planet and progress towards a new and exciting discovery started with the question WHY? The theme this year is “Children celebrating outdoor play and learning!
Under 8’s Day this week will be celebrated at Dayboro State School on Friday 21st May. See details below. Parents and friends of our younger children in P-2 are invited to come along and celebrate with us! Many thanks to our hardworking P-2 team who have organised this event!
This Friday is P&C Day. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our hardworking P&C team who work tirelessly to support our school initiatives. The money they raise goes to support major projects that help make our school a better place for our children. We are fortunate at Dayboro that our P&C continues to grow and helps to play a major role as partners with our school team. Parents are always welcomed and helpers are always needed. So please consider supporting our P&C. It’s a great way to meet other parents too. As the saying goes, “Many hands make light work!” Thank you Dayboro P&C. You really do make a difference.
Thank you to all the students and staff involved in NAPLAN testing last week. You all worked very hard and should be congratulated on your efforts.
WINTER IS ON ITS’ WAY!
Thank you from Mrs Ryan
