We are now in the last two weeks of the term.  Please ensure all overdue books are returned to the Library before the school holidays.

 

Maker Space

 

Robots of all kinds have continued to be a popular choice for students in the maker space during their breaks.

The blue Dash robots can be controlled using Blockly Code or with the use of track pad for younger students.  One of the attachments used with the Dash robots over the last two weeks was the ball launcher – trying to code the launcher to get the ping pong balls to the desired landing point in much trickier than it looks!

Well done to our Lego robotics enthusiasts who participated in a RoboCoast event on the 11^th of March.  The first thing all of the students had to learn was how to code their robots.  During the day the teams of students participated in a Sumo challenge and a line follower challenge.  Both challenges required students to code their robots to make use of their light sensor.

Book Fair

Book Fair is on the way! 

Book Fair is set to begin on May 7^th and will run until May 12^th. 

Keep an eye out for further information coming home after the school holidays.  In the meantime families are more able to preview some of the exciting books that will be available at Book Fair.
