This week has been a big week for outdoor play with games such as four corners, red rover, sandcastle competitions and basketball being played regularly. Children have also been enjoying constructing various things with magnetic tiles and mobilo. These activities were great opportunities for children to unleash their creativity skills at the service. We got some great ideas for next week from our children’s meetings this week, including an interest in learning different languages. A big thankyou to our senior children who have been helping with little jobs around the house, the team really appreciate it!
A reminder that toys should not be brought to the service from home. If they are for show and tell at school, they are to remain in school bags to ensure they are not lost or broken. Children should also be bringing hats and water bottles to each session they attend. The team are more than happy to re-fill drink bottles if needed.
With the return of extra-curricular activities, please note that a permission form needs to be filled out prior to your child/ren leaving the service. These forms are to be updated each term and we are unable to release children to extra-curricular activities without written permission from parents/guardians.
Vacation care bookings are now open. Please see attached the brochure of exciting activities, excursions and incursions we have planned. Copies of the brochure are available at the service or alternatively we can email one through. Children must be enrolled with Helping Hands prior to booking/attending the service. This can be done by going onto helpinghandsnetwork.com.au, clicking register, selecting Dayboro State School and following the prompts.
If your child/ren will be absent for any session, you can mark them absent on the iparent portal by clicking the day, the session/s and clicking the red x on the right. Any issues, please contact the service and we’ll be happy to help. If your circumstances change and you no longer need a certain day/session please let us know so we can offer the place to someone else.
Homework club continues to run from 4:30-5:00pm Monday-Thursday, please let one of the team know if you would like your child included in this.
On behalf of the team, have a great week!!
