Helping Hands News
Good Afternoon Parents and Caregivers
In the past fortnight our children have engaged in various craft activities such as Indigenous symbols finger painting, rainbow handprint art, lion leaf art, chalk firework art and popped bubble art. These activities have allowed children to demonstrate individual creativity and work towards creating a piece they can be proud of. We have also been utilising the art for kids website to develop our drawing skills once a week – it has been encouraging to see children’s development in their perception and confidence in their own capabilities.
Outdoor activities have included hopping out your name, where the alphabet is written on the concrete and children were required to hop to each letter of their name. This required gross motor skills and challenged children when needing to increase their hopping distance. Moovosity continues to promote different activities such as from planet to planet, where children needed to use spatial awareness to avoid landing on craters and atoms.
A reminder to please ensure the gates into the service are closed after entering/departing. This is to ensure we remain compliant with National Regulations and keep all children in attendance safe. We thank you for your co-operation with this.
Due to COVID-19, we are continuing our sign in/sign out area outside of the service; this means adults are not permitted to enter the building. Families will be informed when this restriction has been lifted and we appreciate your patience with this.
If your child/ren will be absent from a session, please ensure they are marked absent on the iparent portal. This is done under the bookings tab by selecting the date/session and clicking the red x on the right. Please see one of our educators for support if you are experiencing issues making or managing your bookings. Please also ensure you are able access your iparent portal – this is where you make and amend your bookings and receive notifications, messages and newsletters from us in addition to this fortnightly segment.
