P&C Meeting
Our next P&C Meeting is coming up next week, Monday 17th August at 6:30pm. The virtual Teams Meeting link will be emailed to all members. If you are not a member and would like to attend, please let our Secretary know and we can share details: secretary@dayboropandc.org.au
We’re holding the School Fun Run’s Crazy Colour Day as a major fundraising event this year! The event will be held on the 18th September 2020. We are really hoping to raise $20,000 which will help pay for a new playground for our senior students.
Already we have raised over $8,000!!! That’s a tremendous effort in our very first week. Well done and thank you!
Sponsorship forms were sent home with each student last week. Once you have the form, we encourage you to sign up for a Student Profile Page at schoolfunrun.com.au. You’ll be able to access online fundraising and can win a $20,000 Ultimate Family Experience! If you don’t wish to create an online profile for your child, you are more than welcome to collect and record cash donations in the sponsorship booklet (these need to be returned by the 11th September).
Students who raise $10 or more will receive a reward, and the more money they raise the better the reward, and the more you help the school!
We’re looking for all students to participate, though it’s completely optional! It’ll be heaps of fun for our Dayboro State School students and such a fantastic way to end Term 3!
For those that are curious, the paint is made from non-toxic corn starch powder (coloured). Any old white or pale t-shirt is great for displaying all the bright colours. I picked up a t-shirt for $4 at Best & Less yesterday if you don’t have something handy. We will share more info about what to do on the day in the coming weeks!
If you have any questions about the Crazy Colour Day please contact me at president@dayboropandc.org.au
Tuckshop
We’re back to business now with full menu and all grades ordering both days. Thank you for your patience as we complete the changes on Flexi-schools.
Father’s Day Stall
We are continuing with our plans to host our Father’s Day stall this year. While it may be set up a little differently due to Covid restrictions, we’re sure our students will enjoy choosing something special for their dads! More information to come but mark the date, it’ll be Monday 31st August!
Thanks
Mareeta
