Prep J Poetry

Please enjoy the poems written by the students of Prep J.  They independently wrote a poem,    following four weeks of learning about rhymes, patterns and rhythms in simple verses.  Our focus for teaching and learning was to use familiar CVC words, simple patterns and non-words to create a humorous and engaging poem.  Each poem demonstrates letter and sound knowledge, onset and rime and high frequency words.  I have typed the poems exactly how the students wrote them so you can celebrate their amazing growth as early writers.  The illustrations are just as great.
