Library and Maker Space News
Maker Space
To help everyone get into the pirating spirit ready for the Dr Cameron Stelzer author visit, the maker space had pirate themed challenges available for students to participate in for the first two weeks of the term. We were very impressed with some of the creativity of the students who designed and made pirate accessories. We were also surprised to see which Lego pirate boats floated (and which ones capsized!) once they were placed into a tub of water.
We managed to complete the dinosaur jigsaw (great team effort, everyone!) and we are in the process of setting up a special place in the Library for the Osmo sets which are always a popular choice with our students during breaks. Keep an eye out for Mo.

2020 Premier’s Reading Challenge Reminder
Only 5 weeks to go!
Reading recording sheets are available on the Premier’s Reading Challenge website in the Downloads and Forms section. Recording sheets can be collected from the school Library or your classroom teacher. When you have completed your reading challenge record sheet remember to hand your sheet to your teacher so that they can update the database with your progress.
Keep on reading everyone!
Thank you for you continued support,
