Library and Maker Space News

Library Changes

This week we have had a new display screen installed in the main Library space and it looks amazing!

We now have the ability to play instructional videos in the maker space as well as feature reminders for upcoming events and photos of students particpiating in activities from across the school.

New Activities

After the popularity of the on-line jigsaw we used during National Simultaneous Storytime, we have introduced jigsaw puzzles as one of the available lunchtime activities.  It’s always tricky trying to find exactly the right piece, but everyone has been working well together to complete these challenges.  We have started with smaller 100, 150 and 200 piece puzzles, and one day we may even be brave enough to try a 1000 piece puzzle!

Osmo is always a popular lunch time activity and in the last fortnight we introduced a new Osmo game called “Osmo Detective”.  It is a little bit like playing an interactive game of “Where’s Wally?” and it is already a favourite with the students.

Overdue Loans

The end of the term is almost here.  Any students with overdue books are asked to return them as soon as possible.  All students with overdue books will be given reminders over the next two weeks.  We would appreciate these books being returned in at timely manner.
