Library and MakerSpace News
The Library has been a hive of activity over the last few weeks. Students have been using the iPads to read clues to find the location of “Wally”, who is hiding in a few books in the Library. Some students are working really hard to decipher the clues to use as search words in the library catalogue to find the correct book to win a prize.
The MakerSpace is continuing to be a popular choice for students during first break. It is always surprising what inventions and gifts are made using our recycled resources. Our Year 6 STEAM Team volunteers are assisting in the Library again at lunch times, so we now have extra hands to help run coding and robotics activities. The board games are being used by enthusiastic students during the breaks, there are a few games that have quickly become firm favourites.

Students are reminded that they need a Library bag to provide protection to Library books when borrowing. Library bags should be used every time a Library book is being transported to or from school, in last week alone we had 3 damaged novels returned to the Library. It is the responsibility of each student who borrows a Library book to take care of it until it is returned to the Library. Library bags offer some protection for our books.
