Term 1 is well under way with choir rehearsals and we have a huge junior choir this year. It is going to be an exciting year.

A few reminders for choir students.

♫ Weekly attendance at rehearsals (when required), with all equipment (music and pencil).

♫ Prompt arrival at rehearsals. Choir students wait on the Music Room verandah, quietly.

♫ Weekly practice of music as required by conductor.

♫ Attendance at ALL performances, during and outside of school hours, including excursions.

♫ Observance of good rehearsal and performance etiquette.

♫ Absence from Rehearsals: If a student is absent from school due to illness, this will be relayed to the Choir Teacher and no note is required. However, if a student is at school, they should attend rehearsal. If a student becomes ill during the day/rehearsal, they will be sent to the sick room as per normal school policy. Students who are unable to sing or play for any reason should bring a note from a parent/caregiver to that effect and where possible sit in on the rehearsal, so that no important information is missed.

♫ Difficulties and conflicting commitments can always be negotiated with the relevant teachers and the Principal or Deputy Principal. We are always willing to seek a solution. If you do not tell us, we do not know.

Choir Uniforms

Little Dayboro Voices – Formal school uniform, black shoes

The Dayboro Voices - Choir shirt available from the uniform shop, black dress pants (not jeans)

All students must have their hair neat and out of their face. Hair ties/accessories need to be black or white in colour.

Students in the Music Program will be required to wear full Music Program uniform for performances and excursions outside of school. Parents/Caregivers will be advised of any other uniform details when required.
