What’s been happening at Helping Hands this week?

Children this week have been participating in some exciting activities this week, including assorted group games in the morning, basketball, soccer, building sandcastles in the sandpit, hula hooping and netball. Our morning children have been testing their problem-solving skills with a daily game of ‘I Spy’ with the team, and children have participated in various arts and crafts that are now proudly displayed within the house. Our younger children have been getting into dancing and singing along to their favourite songs with the team and their peers. This has shown increased confidence within Helping Hands Dayboro.

Our homework club has been prospering well this week with many children joining in to complete their homework with the support of peers and educators between 4:30-5pm Monday-Thursdays. If you would like your child/ren to participate in this, please let one of our friendly team know.

In other news, bookings for April vacation care are now open!! Children must be enrolled with Helping Hands prior to attending. This can be done by logging onto helpinghandsnetwork.com.au, clicking register, and then clicking Dayboro State School and following the prompts. The same procedure can be done to access before and after school care bookings. If you would like a copy of the vacation care program to see what exciting activities are happening on which days, please contact the service on 0459 991 697 and we can organise a copy for you.

In the event of potential wet weather next week, please ensure your child/ren have a jumper in their bag in case they get cold.

If your child/ren are absent from school or collected early, please note that the service needs to be notified. This can be done via text message, call or marking your child/ren absent on the parent portal by clicking on the red x under the bookings tab. If there are any issues with your iParent Portal regarding bookings, feel free to contact the service and we can arrange a time to support you through this or our accounts team on 1300 612 462.
