I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their hard work and excellent playing this term. Our Spring Soiree was a lovely end to the term and I encourage students to keep practicing over the holidays.

Recruiting for 2020

We have commenced the recruitment and selection process for the 2020 Instrumental Music Programme.  The Instrumental Music Program is a wonderful opportunity for your child to learn a musical instrument through the school and to participate in the school Concert Band. As the program is popular and places are limited to the teaching time allocated to the school by the region, entry into the program is done via a selection process.  Limited places are available on the following instruments:

Over the coming weeks, students in Year 3 will undergo testing to determine their suitability to learn an instrument.  The school also looks at ensemble balance along with other selection criteria, including classroom music results, academic progress, effort, behaviour, ability to work independently and home support and reliability to determine the students best able to succeed in the program. 

A letter asking for expressions of interest has been sent home to all year 3 students. Please complete the slip and return this slip to the office if you are interested in joining the 2020 Instrumental Music Programme.
