French Day
This year’s French Day will be held on the last day of Term 3, Friday, September 20.
All students are encouraged to come to school dressed in French theme. This could be something iconically, or stereotypically French. Examples include dressing as a ballerina, a French soccer player, a chef, a baker, a model, an artist, a food item, the President of France or a mime artist. The list is endless. Or they may come in the French colours, dark blue, white and red. If they don't dress in theme they wear their uniform. This is not a free dress day. There is no cost. I am encouraging students to be creative, and discouraging them from spending money on their costumes.
There will also be a colouring competition for all year levels. Entry is free. Completed entries must be returned to class teachers by Wednesday, September 18. There will be prizes for the best entries.
I am looking forward to seeing a spectacle of French culture again this year.
