Dear Parents/Caregivers

Over the past week, our students have had the opportunity to showcase their talents and learnings to our school community. The Music Soiree last Monday afternoon featured our school choirs and school band and included many solo performances.  They certainly performed admirably under the guidance of their instructors, Mrs Almond and Ms Edwards.  Well done to everyone involved!

Last Thursday night, our students performed their dances at the Family Dance Night hosted by the Dance Fever Team. The culmination of a term’s work, each class presented their dance which even included some participation from parents in the audience.  Thank you to everyone who attended and to our P&C for organising the catering for the evening. 

French Day – this Friday 20 September

Our school will be celebrating French Day this Friday with a special menu organised by our tuckshop. Students are invited to wear French costumes (optional)  to reflect the theme for the day. Please note this is NOT a free dress day and there is no gold coin donation – just an opportunity to be immersed in the French culture for a day. 

Sheriff’s Awards

Congratulations to Rueben S (Year 5H) and Carla B (Year 4B) for being the recipients of the Sheriff’s Awards for Term 3. Each receives a certificate and book voucher as their reward. 

Prep Enrolments

I would be pleased if completed Prep enrolments could be returned to the school office as soon as possible to assist with planning for next year. Prep parents are also invited to make an appointment through our school office for an interview with Prep teachers between Tuesday 22 and Monday 28 October.  Please call our school office on 3425 6111 to make an appointment.

We will again welcome our new Prep students on Tuesday 12 November for their Prep Orientation Morning.

Performance by Pine Rivers State High School Band

The Pine Rivers State High School Band will perform for our whole school this Friday 20 September at 9.00am.  Many of our past students will be part of the ensemble. Parents are welcome to attend.

Holiday Break

The spring vacation commences this Friday 20 September. Term 4 commences on Tuesday 8 October. Please note that Monday 7 October is a public holiday for the Queen’s Birthday. Enjoy a happy and safe holiday.

School Watch during these Holidays

Thank you to Sergeant Ken Robinson for again organising the team of community volunteers who look after our school during vacation breaks. This is very much appreciated by staff and students at the school.
