Prep Enrolments

Thank you to the many new and returning families who attended the Prep Information session recently.   I would be pleased if completed Prep enrolments could be returned to the school office as soon as possible to assist with planning for next year.  Prep parents are also invited to make an appointment through our school office for an interview with our Prep teachers between Tuesday 22- Monday 28 October. Please call our school office on 34256111 to make an appointment. 

Performance by Pine Rivers State High School Performing Arts Team

The Pine Rivers State High School Performing Arts troupe will perform for our whole school next Friday 20 September at 9.00am.  Many of our past students will be part of the ensemble. Parents are welcome to attend.

Family Dance Night – THIS Thursday

Parents and families are invited to attend the Family Dance Night on Thursday night. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase talents developed during their Dance Fever lessons this term. There are two sessions – Prep- Year 2 will be from 5.30pm-6.30pm and Years 3-6 will be from 7.00pm-8.30pm.  Please plan to come along and be part of this wonderful student showcase.

Parent Teacher Interview

Parent teacher interviews have commenced and are scheduled for the last two weeks of this term. Attendance at a parent-teacher interview is encouraged and reaffirms the necessary partnership between home, school and student achievement. Please contact your child’s classroom teacher to make an appointment if this has not already occurred.

Staff News

I wish to advise of the following staff changes over the next few weeks .  Next week , 16-20 September, the following teachers will be on Long Service Leave (LSL)  and will return after the holiday break.

Mrs Kerry Cassell ( 6C) will be replaced by Mrs Penny Taylor

Mr Matthew Horne (5H) will be replaced by Mrs Mary Ann Baker

Mrs Suzanne Tidswell (Prep T) will be replaced by Mr Greg Johns.

Mrs Linda Smith ( Head of Curriculum)

In other leave, Mrs Tracey Hammond (SEP) will be on LSL for the first two weeks of next term and will be replaced on Thursday and Friday of those weeks with Mrs Dee Mathiesen.  Mrs Suzanne Tidswell will be LSL in Week 2 of next term and will be again replaced by Mr Greg Johns.

Our Business Manager, Ms Clare Ingham will be on LSL in the first week of next term. Claire will be getting married to Mr Nick Gault on Saturday 12 October and will return in Week 2. We wish Clare well for her upcoming nuptials.

It is also congratulations to Mrs Karen Ryan who was last week appointed permanently to the role of Deputy Principal at Dayboro after a state wide recruitment and selection process.
