AMPed - Advanced Music Workshops

Last week, Zaisha Davey, Kaila Sinclair, Cassie Collins and Zeke Zuvela participated in AMPed 2019. The Advanced Music Workshops were held from Tuesday 20th-Thursday 22nd August at Watson Park Convention Centre Dakabin.

Our students combined with students from 33 other primary schools in the South Coast Region to participate in the 3 day band workshop. Students had the opportunity to work with Nationally and Internationally acclaimed conductor Dr Ralph Hultgren to prepare pieces that were played at a concert Thursday evening held at Pine Rivers SHS.

Our students played in the concert band, an 80 student ensemble and were even able to combine with the string orchestra to conclude the concert by playing in a mass orchestra.

There was much laughter, some tricky notes and a lot of fun had by all. Well done to Zaisha, Kaila, Cassie and Zeke for your efforts and fantastic playing throughout!
