What’s happening at Helping Hands?

Last week our children explored painting with different materials such as string, pipe cleaners and sponges. It was exciting to see what the children came up with for their masterpieces. Soccer, touch football, handball, skipping and netball continue to be popular among our children when outside.

A reminder to our children and families that our service works in partnership with school, and this includes following the 5B’s. It is a service rule that children tidy up activities, toys and games prior to moving onto another activity or leaving the service. This includes putting toys/games back where they belong. If this does not occur, then the area will become out of bounds for those responsible. Please ensure your child/ren are following this when they attend care.

Homework club happens Monday to Thursday afternoons from 4:30-5:00pm. It’s great to see children getting into the routine of completing this daily with minimal prompting from educators. If you would like your child/ren to be a part of this, please see one of our friendly team.

September vacation care bookings are now open online. Children need to be enrolled into the service prior to bookings. Please see below for how to do this online. We have exciting excursions to Underwater World and the cinemas, as well as learning to make our own movie and a dance incursion at the service.

Vacancies are available for both morning and afternoon sessions on selected days, and we welcome all children and families to the service.
