Year 6 Multimedia Advertising

Students in Years 5/6F and 6C have been working hard to design and present a multimedia advertising campaign to promote a place of significance or an important community issue.

In addition to crafting a persuasive text to entice readers to discover more about the nominated important place or issue, students needed to select and edit images and make use of an appropriate colour palette to add impact.  Students also used hyperlinks within their PowerPoint presentation to enable easy navigation to all sections of their campaign.

Typing Skills

Students in Years 2 – 6 have access to an on-line typing program called “Typing Tournament”.  The aim of this program is to build confidence with typing skills and to develop familiarity with location of keys on a computer keyboard.  Students are also able to access this program from home using their username and password. 

Each level of the program is progressively more challenging than the previous level.  A growth mindset and an attitude of persistence are really important when beginning new levels!  Students are always excited to earn rewards and are proud of their achievements as they master each new level within the program.
