Helping Hands Highlights.

This week we have been very excited to try out various new games that arrived at the service. There were a variety of games to suit the varying ages and interests, including suspend – a game for our older children that encouraged children to use problem solving skills to hang rods on hooks without knocking the other rods down. Each rod that was hung would change the balance of the rods, but the outcome would remain the same. Our younger children were excited to try jumping frog hoppers into the bucket with their finger. We were also excited to try out some of our outdoor games including giant naught and crosses, twister and draughts.

Our usual favourite games such as oz tag, red rover, touch footy, oz tag and handball continued to occupy our children outside. We have also been exploring different art and crafts including origami, water colour painting, flick painting and dot painting.

A reminder in the cooler weather to make sure your child/ren have a jumper in their bags as well as a hat and drink bottle.

Vacation care is fast approaching, and we have exciting excursions to the dairy farm in Maleny and ten pin bowling. We are preparing some great theme days at the service including footy fever, hawaiian day and beading day. Children must be enrolled at the service before bookings can be made, please see below for how to do this.

Homework club runs from 4:30-5:00pm Monday-Thursdays. Please let one of our friendly team know if you would like your child to be included in this.

We welcome all new families to the service, Helping Hands Dayboro requires online enrolment forms to be completed before attending the service. Online bookings and enrolments can be made through the iParent Portal which can be access through the Helping Hands Network site by selecting Dayboro as your service and signing up following the prompts.
