What’s happening at before and after school care 13/02/2019

Children this week have been participating in silent ball, basketball, netball, dancing and relay races. These activities have helped our children develop their teamwork skills, confidence, resilience and social skills. Inside the house we have been getting creative with marble painting, drawing, mobilo and magnetic tiles. The children were very keen to see their marble paintings on the wall with a silhouette of their profile in the middle. Role play continues to be a hit with the children, particularly prep children, with the latest scenario being driving cars and re-fueling at the petrol station. Our prep buddies have been great supporting this role play, pretending to fill their car with petrol and role-playing shop attendants for the children. Children were also keen to learn about earthquakes and how they are formed with Miss Jenny.

Our afternoons have been filling up very fast and we currently have a waiting list for some afternoons. We still have a handful of spaces every morning, so if you are interested in booking your child/ren in please see below on how to do this to secure your spot.

If your child/ren are going to be absent for a session, they can be marked absent on the iParent Portal by clicking the day and session you would like to mark absent and clicking the red x on the right-hand side. The service will receive a notification when this occurs. Please note, we require 7 days notice of cancellations to avoid paying for the session. If you need to change your bookings, this can also be done on the iParent Portal. One of our friendly team will be happy to assist you if there are any issues with this process.

Homework club will be returning from next week from 4:30-5:00pm. Please let one of our friendly team know if you would like your child to be included in this.

We welcome all new families to the service, Helping Hands Dayboro requires online enrolment forms to be completed before attending the service. Online bookings and enrolments can be made through the iParent Portal which can be accessed through the Helping Hands Network site by selecting Dayboro as your service and signing up following the prompts.
