DAYBORO DAY

Despite this year’s overall event in our town appearing to be down in size and numbers, this event has been a very successful Fundraising event for P&C, from which all proceeds of course go towards our School and its students. We have calculated that this year there were 1785x throws at the Choc Throw table and we in fact gave away as various size prizes more chocolate than last year! We also sold a further 176x tickets for our major raffle. Because of the huge generosity of the chocolate donations for the class competition for the Class Pizza Party, we will be using the surplus of chocs to create an array of prizes for the School Disco on 21 June, from best dressed student prizes, through to lucky door prizes, best dancing prizes, and to get teachers and parents involved in the “Western” theme of the night, also want to include a best dressed parent and teacher prizes. P&C would like to sincerely thank all who have contributed to our Dayboro Day Fundraising event this year, from the vast generosity of chocolate donations, through to the hardworking P&C members and other parent volunteers who assisted in the lead up work over past weeks, through to helping out on the day itself. Thank you all!  

Another huge shout out thanks of course goes to Craig Doyle Real Estate, who via their extremely popular and fun Kidszone and Parent Chill Out zone held in their car park during Dayboro Day has raised an amazing $1117.00 which is being donated to our School. THANKS SO MUCH!!! 

P&C’s Major Raffle

Please consider buying a ticket or two (they are only $2.00 each) in our major raffle this year where the winner receives 4 nights at the Sea World Resort & Water Park for 2 Adults and 2 children, which also includes entry to Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet’n’Wild Gold Coast, and Paradise Country over the same 4-day period, plus a Caltex Fuel Card valued at $200, along with food and beverage credit for Sea World Resort & Water Park valued at $100. Books of tickets will be soon be distributed to students, and tickets can also be purchased via our Uniform Shop Co-Ordinator Karen during the clothing shop’s opening times. This raffle will close on 19 June, with all tickets/monies to be returned to the Office on this date, with the prize drawn on 24 June. 

Class Chocolate Collection Weigh-in Competition

Well the class winner for the 2019 Class Pizza Party is 6C for a whopping total = 43.3kg!!! Your P&C will now liaise with your teacher to set a date for your Pizza Party. Congratulations 6C! We would also like to thank all classes and their families for their generosity and participation in the competition this year which saw us raise a record total of 215.7kg. A very special mention must be made about the very strong competition that took place this year, and special commendations must be made to the following classes especially for being such strong contenders: 5/6F (16.2kg), 3OH (16.3kg), 5H (16.6kg), 4B (17.4kg), and 1D (18.9kg). 

Upcoming events to keep an eye out for include the Book Fair at the Library which will be held over 7-12 June (8.15am to 4.30pm), and of course the Disco on 21 June. Please watch out for all posts on our P&C Facebook page for more details about these events.
