Book Week

Lib_Book_Week_Book_an_adventure.jpg

Our annual Book Week character costume parade took place last week and didn’t you all look fabulous!  Thank you everyone for joining in with our Book Week celebrations last week, it was great to see such a wonderful variety of book characters represented.  We hope that everyone spent some time reading and talking about books during book week. A special thanks to all the parents and other family members who helped our students with their costumes.

The Premier’s Reading Challenge reading period has now ended.  Please ensure your reading recording sheets are returned to your teacher by this Friday so that you ensure you receive your certificate acknowledging that you have completed the reading challenge.  These certificates will be presented later in the year.

The winning house for our interschool Premier’s Reading Challenge House Cup will be announced at assembly on Monday.  Good luck everyone!

Book Club for Term 3 is now open.  Brochures for this issue of Book Club will be distributed to students as soon as they arrive and the catalogue can also be viewed online. In this issue you'll find award-winning books and bestsellers, as well as old and new favourites.  The books included in this issue span a wide range of children’s reading levels and interests with prices starting at just $3.

It is easy to order. The Book Club LOOP platform for parents allows you to pay by credit card. Your child’s order is submitted directly to school and the books will be delivered to their class. You can place your child’s order at scholastic.com.au/loop or by using the LOOP app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.  Alternatively, order forms with payment can be handed in at the school office.  All orders placed through Book Club help to earn free reading books for the school library.
