Year 4 Science Excursion
Our Year 4 students recently had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Nudgee Beach Environmental Education Centre (NBEEC). This hands-on experience allowed the children to explore local ecosystems by investigating and identifying food chains, as well as understanding the impact of human activities on various species in the area.
During the excursion, the students learnt about and investigated the loggerhead sea turtles, a remarkable marine species native to the region, along with other fascinating marine life. This immersive experience helped deepen their understanding of marine conservation and the importance of protecting our coastal environment.
We are grateful for the support of parent volunteers who helped supervise and engage with the students throughout the day. Experiences like this truly enrich the learning journey and inspire a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.
