Readers Cup
Less than two weeks to go! We would like to wish both of our Readers Cup teams the very best of luck as they begin their final preparations for their regional competition on the 17th of June.
Premier’s Reading Challenge
The 2025 Premiers Reading Challenge reading period began on the 6th of May. To complete the challenge students in Prep – Year 2 need to read or experience 20 books, students in Year 3 and Year 4 need to read 20 books, and students in Year 5 and Year 6 need to read 15 books (this number of books acknowledges that older students are more likely to select longer and more complex books).
This year we are running an inter-house reading competition. Each book read will contribute to the total number of books read for each sporting house.
Congratulations to Terrors who are currently in the lead! It’s not too late to change the reading results Rush and Armstrong – the reading competition isn’t over until August.

National Simultaneous Storytime
Thanks to everyone who came along and joined in with our “The Truck Cat” story and activities last week for National Simultaneous Storytime. We hope you loved the story as much as we did.
National Family Reading Month
Well done to all the students who completed their “Read More in May” challenge. Remember to bring your completed reading logs to the library to go into the draw to win a prize. The lucky draw will take place this Friday.
Overdue Books Reminder
With a little over three weeks remaining in the term we would like to remind all students to return their overdue library books as soon as possible. Students who still have books that they borrowed in Term 1 will be given a reminder notice. Thank you for your cooperation with returning these overdue books.
Have a great week!

Book Club
Book Club for Term 2 is now open. Brochures for this issue of Book Club will be distributed to students as soon as they arrive and the catalogue can also be viewed online. In this issue you'll find award-winning books and bestsellers, as well as old and new favourites. The books included in this issue span a wide range of children’s reading levels and interests with prices starting at just $3.
It is easy to order. The Book Club LOOP platform for parents allows you to pay by credit card. Your child’s order is submitted directly to school and the books will be delivered to their class. You can place your child’s order at scholastic.com.au/loop or by using the LOOP app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. Alternatively, order forms with payment can be handed in at the school office. All orders placed through Book Club help to earn free reading books for the school library.

Orders are due Monday the 9th of June.
