Deputy Principal's Desk - Week 1 and 2
Dear Families and Friends
Welcome back to Term 2. We hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable break. The children all seemed very excited to be back and had lots of great stories to tell about their holidays and Easter adventures.
Our teachers have been working hard to prepare rich and engaging learning environments for their students. This has set the scene for a great Term 2. Term 2 is always such a rewarding term as the students are settled into their classrooms, routines are well established, and students and staff are clear about our curriculum and pedagogical choices matched to the learning needs of our students.
A reminder that the teachers will be emailing you all with a Welcome Back email and attached will be the Term 2 Curriculum Overview. This overview will summarise the learning that will be taking place in each curriculum area for the term.
BELOW ARE SOME PHOTOS OF Year 1 students extending their thinking and problem solving all the different combinations that could add up to 15. They love sharing their learning with others and couldn’t wait to show me how many different combinations they could come up with. SO engaging and so clever. Well Done Year 1.
