End of Term Book Returns
We are very quickly approaching the end of the school term. Students are reminded to return their overdue library books before the end of the term. Students in years 4, 5, and 6 are welcome to borrow over the break.
Remember that students in years 3, 4, 5, and 6 are also able to access ebooks and audio books using Sora. Students will need their MIS username to access this resource and need to ensure they enter their school as Education Queensland. Other online libraries, such as Moreton Bay Region library accounts, can be linked through the app to provide access to a larger number of reading resources, including magazines.
Book Fair
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our recent Book Fair. Over $7500 worth of books were purchased during the book fair, which is fantastic! Imagine all the reading taking place over the holidays!
All purchases at the book fair contribute to an allocation of Scholastic Rewards for our school library which we can use to purchase book titles requested by students. This year we have raised $2300 worth of rewards which we will redeem with Scholastic over the next 12 months to purchase reading resources for our school library.
Thank you for your AMAZING support of book fair!
Congratulations to all the students who submitted an entry into the “Turn a Book Character into a Wild West Cowpoke” competition. The entries were amazing and showed that everyone had put care and effort into their designs – it was so hard to choose winners. Congratulations to winners: Jonah (Year 6), Clover (Year 4) and Rose (Year 2).
The “Guess the Number of Cows” competition had two winners, both of whom correctly guessed 187 cows. Congratulations to Samson (Year 4) and Pia (Prep).
All competition winners won $15 vouchers to spend at book fair.
Have a great week!
