Dear Families and Friends

COMMUNITY

Well, the term and year is almost over……

KRyan_Community1.jpg.png

Thank you to those special members of our Dayboro community who support and value our students and staff. Thank you for your tireless hard work and dedication all year round to make our school a better place of learning and community. Parents are key to helping us build the school community we want to be proud of and supporting your child’s learning and communicating with teachers and staff is so important.

The support of parents is highly important in ensuring our expectations around being safe, respectful learners are reinforced and spoken about at home and together we can continue to support our learners to be the best they can be.

Of course our school community has our amazing P&C to thank for so many important facets that go into making our school community thrive-  our Dayboro Tuckerbox, (thank you to Alison and her regular helpers- they make a fantastic salad wrap!) Special Menu food days, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day stalls, Christmas Disco, Arts Night, Election Day sausage Sizzle, donations of …… and the list goes on. We are so grateful for our P&C team.

Other community teams who support us every year and help make a difference are our Chaplaincy team, Story Dogs (Thanks Leesa and Humphrey), our local Kindies, Sgt Ken, Sgt Paul and the Sheriff’s Awards,(Ice Cream day)  our Emergency Services who visit for Under 8’s and Fire Education for Yr 1, our local MP , Ms Boyd , Conversation Club, Lions Club, 150 years celebration committee. Your donations of time and services all help to make a huge difference and contribute to the success of our students in so many areas.

So .......Thank you students and parents for making Dayboro a great school!

Finally …. A huge thank you to our Student Leaders and the other Yr 6 students who have been invaluable in our journey at Dayboro this year- thank you to Millie, Rupert, Jett and Duncan as well as all the Yr 6 Sports and Music leaders and cohort. Thank you all for your kind and helpful ways. All of you really do demonstrate and model for others Respect, Safety and Learning in so many ways but most of all you are wonderful students and I wish you all the best for your future at High School. You will all shine!!!

Junior Swimming Term 4

Last Friday we had our Junior Swimming final lessons for Prep, Year 1 2/3C and Year 3’s. Parents were invited to come along and watch what the students have been learning. Despite the consistent downpours many parents came along and it was great the children had a free swim at the end. Thank you to our swimming instructors – Amy, Michelle, Sam and Karen for teaching our youngest learners how to swim. We are looking forward to the Senior Swimming carnival next on the 3rd December.

PREP
