P&C News
P&C Year in Review and Invitation to Join for 2025!
As we approach the end of another fantastic year, we are so proud of everything our P&C has been able to accomplish in 2024. From fundraising events, tuckshop days, and advocating for our students and families, to working closely with the school administration, teachers, and staff, it has been a year full of dedication and positive energy.
Since filling nearly all the committee positions in 2023 for the first time in years, we’ve been able to form a strong and passionate group of parents these last 2 years. This team is not only committed to serving the school community but has also developed great camaraderie and friendships. It’s been a rewarding experience to be part of such a motivated and enthusiastic group!
P&C AGM – Monday 10th March 2025
Looking ahead to 2025, we know that some of our current members are keen to step back from their roles, and we’d really love to have some new faces join us.
We are thrilled that many of our current members are keen to stay involved next year and fill some of our Executive and Fundraising positions.
We are actively looking for nominations in the following roles:
President
Secretary
Social Media and Marketing/Comms
Both myself (President) and Johanna (Secretary / Social Media) are keen to stay involved as active members of the P&C and would be more than happy to help support and ensure a smooth transition for anyone taking on the roles.
Regardless of whether you are able to take on an executive or support role, we would love to have more of our families join our team.
What does joining the P&C entail?
Signing a membership form. This means you will have voting rights at any of the meetings. From there, it can be whatever you want it to be and you can be involved as much as you want to be.
If I join, do I have to go to every meeting?
We would love to see you there and hear your thoughts, but it is not compulsory. There is always the option to join via Teams at home if you are able. Kids are also welcome.
If I join, do I have to nominate for a position?
No, not at all. Just being a member and contributing when and where you can is enough. We are truly fortunate to have many of the current committee willing to sign up again next year, so if you have been wondering about a position but not wanting to jump straight in, you can always work alongside someone and learn the ropes. We are looking for a President and Secretary, please feel free to talk to Rhiannon and Johanna about the roles.
If I join, do I have to volunteer at the tuckshop every week?
Nope. Of course, if you can volunteer on occasion that’s fantastic, but it certainly isn’t expected or required.
If I join, do I have to volunteer at every event? Not at all. If you can, great! If not, then any contribution to the ideas behind them is amazing.
If I join, do I have to read the newsletter every week? Well, that one is up to you. Your friends may assume you have though ?
