Senior Swimming Carnival Years 3 - 6
Mark your calendars – the Dayboro State School Senior Swimming Carnival is five weeks away!
Our carnival will be held during the day (9am – 2:30pm approx.) on Tuesday 3rd November (week 10) at the Dayboro Pool. We cater for most levels of swimming ability, aim to encourage participation and enjoyment for all students, and provide a higher level of competition for those students who are eligible to be considered for District Nomination in 2025. There is no cost for entry to the pool.
House points are given for winners in all levels of events – from swimming in a 25m event right through to the more gruelling 100m event. This gives all children the chance to participate at their own level of ability – while also contributing hard earned points to the Armstrong, Rush and Terrors Houses. ‘Age Champion’ medallions are given out to the boy and girl in the 9, 10, 11 and 12 age groups who accumulate the highest amount of points from 50m events. Encouragement awards will be given to our youngest swimmers – the 8 year olds. As usual, a range of novelty events will be organised by staff and House Captains on the day.
On Tuesday, all students in Years 3 - 6 should have received their nomination form (on light green paper) to choose their events for this carnival. Please return this to your classroom teacher by Friday 15th November, so that work on the carnival program can begin. Please note also, that there is an online consent to complete through QParents. No consent = no entry to the pool.
We are looking forward to this big event on our calendar! Thank-you for your support.
