Reading is Magic

It’s Book Week!  A very big thank you to all of the students (and their families) who made the effort to dress in book related costumes and then participate in our character costume parade today.  Everyone looked wonderful!  I am always amazed at the creativity of our school community.

Colouring Competition Winners

Thank you to all of the students who entered our Book Week Colouring Competition.  The winners of the competition were announced at our Book Week Parade and each received a certificate and book club vouchers to purchase books from book club.

Premier’s Reading Challenge

The Premier’s Reading Challenge for 2024 finishes on Friday.  Students need to return their completed reading record sheets to their class teachers.   Remember that we will also be looking for the student in each class who has read the greatest number of books during the challenge.

Book Club

Book Club for term 3 is currently open for ordering.  Brochures have been sent home with students  (spare book club brochures are available at the library), alternatively families are welcome to view the latest issue of Book Club on line.  Orders for this issue of Book Club will close on Thursday the 29^th of August.

It is easy to order. The Book Club LOOP platform for parents allows you to pay by credit card. Your child’s order is submitted directly to school and the books will be delivered to their class. You can place your child’s order at scholastic.com.au/loop, or using the LOOP app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.  Alternatively, named order forms with payment can be handed in at the school office.  All orders placed through Book Club help to earn free reading books for the school library.
