Deputy's News
Dear Families and Friends
DAYBORO DAY!!! What a special community day it was.
Thank you to our Band and Choir and Mr Yates and Mrs Anderson for their performances Sunday morning. Despite the cold, the nerves, a new stage and being first to perform they did a wonderful job.
How wonderful it was to see our school students walking in the parade for our 150 years celebration. The old school bell was ringing, past uniforms on show and our very old school banner showing our school colours with pride. Thank you to everyone who was part of this and made the day so special.
Also, a big thank you to our P&C who set up and served at our Dayboro School stall with lots of home-baked goodies on offer, our 150 years Commemorative pieces to sell and an amazing chocolate-filled Chocolate Throw for the kids.

UNDER 8’s DAY
On Friday 24th May we also held our annual event “Under 8’s Day”
The Prep-2 students, many assisted by their wonderful parents, spent the morning doing a range of fun activities that supported the theme of Under 8’s week across Australia this year “Connecting to Culture through Play”. Thank you to everyone who contributed and I think we showed that Play is the Way!!! Thank you to our local Kindy groups, younger siblings and our very own Dayboro’s Little Learners playgroup for coming and joining in the fun. A huge thank you also to Helping Hands, our Fire and Rescue services, Sgts Ken and Paul, the local Scouts (Possum) and Bray Park High School staff and students for helping to make the day very special also.
Of course this special morning wouldn’t be able to happen without the support of all our staff and the Yr 6 students who prepare and run the activities with a huge thanks to Mrs Johns for organising the event every year.

Thank you to the parents of our Band students who transported our students to Fanfare on Tuesday. Thank you to Mr Yates and Mrs W for the big last push to get everyone there. The Band got a Bronze Medal! Well done everyone.
Playgroup is on this Friday. A reminder that the BIG school are wearing Crazy Clothes on Friday if you want your little ones to join in the fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone and we have some birthdays to celebrate together. How exciting!
Thank you Mrs Ryan!
