Enriching our Learning
We love to enrich our students’ learning with real life experiences including our incursion and excursion opportunities. Recently our P&C assisted our students to have a real-life shopping experience at the Mothers’ Day stall. What a wonderful way to practically understand about product selection, value for money, calculating change etc. At Dayboro, we have a lovely tradition of our students visiting their siblings’ classrooms to share their purchases to ensure that Mum is receiving a variety of goodies!

Our Year 1 and 2 students participated on the Dayboro Town Walk last week using landmarks and local community places to understand their local area and how they can care for Dayboro. Later this week our Year 3 and 5 students will participate in the Star Lab incursion.

Our staff do an amazing job of planning, preparing and enacting these fabulous learning experiences and often rely on extra assistance from parents, guardians or other volunteers to support on the day. A reminder that it is super important for our volunteers or family members, other than parents of our students to have a blue card to volunteer at our school, attend and incursion or excursion or attend school events where they need to interact with our students. Our P&C representatives and Tucker Box volunteers who are not parents of our students also must have a blue card before they can be onsite. Thank you for helping us by abiding by this legal requirement, if you need assistance to apply for a blue card, you can visit our school office, ask a P&C member or apply online.
150years Celebration
We are so excited to be celebrating our 150 years of schooling in Dayboro this year. Our dynamic committee continues to plan and organise the School Events for 26 July and our community Event for 27 July. Thank you to all our community volunteers and partners for helping us to plan a fabulous community event!

At this years’ Dayboro Day, we will be participating in the parade to celebrate our 150years of schooling! We are looking for any old varieties of Dayboro State School uniforms for our students to wear in the parade. Please let our admin staff know if you can assist: 34256111; Admin@dayboross.eq.edu.au. Why not come along to see our students march on the day?
