District Carnival - Track and Field
PINE RIVERS DISTRICT – TRACK AND FIELD TRIALS
The ‘Pine Rivers District Track and Field Trials’ take place next Tuesday 7th May and Wednesday 8th May (week 3 of this term) at John Oxley Reserve, Ogg Rd, Murrumba Downs. We are pleased to say that 31 Dayboro State School children have been selected for our school team. These children will attend on either or both of the two days. Selection is based on meeting certain qualifying distances and times (set by district management), and these were obtained from the Senior Track and Field Carnival held last term.
Congratulations to: Chrystian, Benjamin, Alfie, Freddie, Cruz, Rohnan, Lincoln, Matilda, Emily, Lucy, Jedda, Sophie, Riley, Zeke, Mitchell, Koby, Sonny, Will, Harry, Leah, Lulu, Kira, Amy, Ashley, Charlie, Darcy, Jayden, Katelyn, Yazmin, Clare and Kirrilee. Best of luck to all these children, we hope it is a great competition and that they enjoy the experience!
All paperwork is now due. Once signed by the Principal it will be kept by the team managers and passed on to the convenors should any child qualify for the Pine Rivers District team. Payment needs to be completed online before papers are handed in to the school. All children need to go to the uniform shop this Thursday morning to be fitted with the school athletics singlet.
Parents, please remember to pack a good meal and plenty of fluids for your children, along with all their necessary gear. There is no entry fee for spectators, and there will be a BBQ/canteen available on the day for all attending. Thank you to all parents who are making themselves available to attend these trials and/or helping out with transport – this will be very much appreciated. Mrs Braun will be at the carnival on Tuesday, Mrs Cassell will be in attendance on Wednesday and Chappy Cam will be there on both days. We are all looking forward to seeing you there.
