Library Borrowing
We are quickly approaching the end of the 2023 school year and Week 7 will be the final week for student borrowing. All Library books will need to be returned to the Library by the 1st of December. Some students have indicated that they are unable to find books they currently have on loan – we suggest looking for misplaced books on book cases at home (or in classrooms), in toy boxes, under beds, or in the family car. Books can turn up in some very surprising places. ?
Notes for missing books will be sent home in Week 9.
Summer Reading Club 2023
The Summer Reading Club is set to begin on the 1st of December! The Summer Reading Club is an initiative promoted through the Moreton Bay Regional Libraries. The goal of this program is to keep children reading and engaged with stories throughout the Summer holiday break. More information can be found on the Moreton Bay Regional Libraries website. There are a range of prizes on offer and parents can join in the reading fun too!
We are also offering Summer Reading Club challenge sheets at school. Challenge sheets are available in the Library for students who are interested in participating. Students who complete all of the reading challenges and return their signed challenge form in the new year will receive a prize.
Have a great week!
Mrs Wilkinson.
Book Club
Book Club for Term 4 will be issue to students in the coming days. Families are also able to view the latest issue of Book Club on line. Orders for this issue of Book Club will close on Thursday the 31st of August (Week 8).
It is easy to order. The Book Club LOOP platform for parents allows you to pay by credit card. Your child’s order is submitted directly to school and the books will be delivered to their class. You can place your child’s order at scholastic.com.au/loop or by using the LOOP app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. Alternatively, order forms with payment can be handed in at the school office. All orders placed through Book Club help to earn free reading books for the school library.
