Welcome Back to Term 4

It was wonderful to see the students return yesterday, excited to see their friends and the staff and also excited about learning! Our teachers met to plan at the end of last term, carefully designing the learning, for their Term 4 units of work. They now know their students so well; the teachers are able to design their very next steps for learning.It was great to see so many parents at the recent parent teacher conferences, taking up the opportunity to catch up with your child’s learning journey and collaborate with our teachers as to what you can also do to assist your child to be ready for learning and meeting their goals. I encourage you to maintain that communication this term so that we can work together to ensure our students are successful.
This term is extremely full of learning experiences. Your child’s class teacher would have sent out the Year Level Curriculum Overview for the term so that you can discuss the learning with our child. We look forward to a busy term with plenty of educational experiences.

In order to start planning for 2024, we are needing to secure our student numbers. Please contact the office ASAP if your family is moving from the school. We appreciate your assistance.
It has been wonderful to meet our 2024 Preppies and their families. Of course, the excitement is high as these little ones anticipate their start to school. We really look forward to welcoming our prospective preppies over the next few weeks as we offer transition sessions. If you know of a child in our community who is due for Prep next year, please encourage them to contact our school office as we are enrolling NOW!

Parent Calendar
Term 4 is sure to be a super busy term. To keep on top of the events and excursions, please find attached our Term 4 Parent Calendar Version 2.

Over the first week of the school holidays, Kalani competed at the Indoor Netball State Titles and was chosen by the Queensland Selectors for the U10 Rising Stars Team. Such an awesome achievement! We wish her all the best at the upcoming competitions.

Hattie and Flo rode at the QLD Pony Club State Championships with hundreds of children from all over QLD.
Flo impressively won overall State Champion for her age group in the formal event, selected for the QLD State Team and the Zone 26 (Moreton area) Team. In the sporting event she placed 4th overall.

Hattie also went amazingly well, winning the Reserve QLD Champion in the formal event and was also selected for the Zone team. He backed this up with a win in the sporting event, making the Zone team again, and being awarded the Reserve QLD Champion!

Consents and urgent news re excursions/incursions
A reminder that we are asking parents to keep an eye on their child’s consents and payments for excursions and incursions. Each event has a cut-off date on the permission note, well before the event, to assist us with our housekeeping. This is the due date for permissions and payment. We are happy to set up payment plans and if parents have these, we will be happy to let students attend. This term we will be unable to chase up permissions and payments, so if these are not completed by the day, unfortunately the child will not be included.

Of course, the easiest way is to sign up for QParents to keep a track of permission forms and invoices.

QParent invitations were sent to each family, please contact the school office if you need assistance or for your invitation code to be resent.
