Welcome back to Term 2! I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday, and are recharged for another fantastic term.

School Photos

As you are aware, school photos are happening this Friday 3^rd May. Payment for photos cannot be made to the school; payments must be given directly to MSP Photography. Please ensure you use the payment envelopes provided for your child. Unfortunately, as they are an external provider, we cannot accept payment or payment plans for school photos.

Parking on School Grounds

Just a reminder to families that there is no parking on the school grounds. Parking can be on either McKenzie Street or Cruice Street. Please refrain from parking on the ground near/behind the hall. Please also be mindful during drop off and pick up times that parents are parking legally, and not obstructing driveways or roads. The safety of our students is paramount, we are asking for everyone’s assistance in this.

Voluntary Contributions

Last term we introduced an electronic payment method for our Voluntary Contributions. This was extremely successful; and will allow our students to receive classroom resources, home readers and other consumables to enhance their learning activities in Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Art and Technology.  

If you haven’t yet donated to the Voluntary Financial Contribution Scheme, you can still do so. The below details outline the cost involved, as well as a link to pay online. Payments can be made directly to the school also via Cash or EFTPOS.

The costs involved in the Voluntary Financial Contributions are:

• $50 per student; or
• $100 per family of two or more enrolled students.

The Voluntary Financial Contribution Scheme is approved by the P&C each year, and is aligned to the Department of Education policy requirements.

Excursions

This term at Dayboro State School we have many excursions and incursions for our students, some with costs associated. We are planning to have these invoiced early to allow parents enough time to pay before the cut-off time.

If there are any parents/families that are struggling with payments, we are able to arrange a Payment Plan. Payment Plans will allow families to process invoices in a timeframe that is agreeable to themselves and the school. For more information, contact the office.
