Dayboro Day Festival – Fundraising for the school’s ICT and STEM resources
A big thank you to everyone who made Dayboro Day such a fantastic event! We had many familiar faces stop by our stall to say hello, it was wonderful to share the day with you.
I would like to personally thank all members of our P&C and their families for their enormous effort in the lead up and running of our stall. You were all amazing and it was so much fun celebrating our school and community with you all.
A big shout out to everyone who generously donated their delicious baking to our stall, everything was sold and it all looked amazing.
Bek at Treasure Tribe was incredibly generous sharing their store room with us, enabling baked goods to be dropped off on Saturday and also easing our workload on Sunday. Thank you so much Treasure Tribe for your support!
Overall, we have raised just over $1000 towards the school’s ICT and STEM resources!
Uniform Shop – Online Ordering with School24 – Available from Tuesday 13th June
Time to get excited everyone, ordering uniforms with the click of a button!
We are thrilled to be able to share with you all that our new online ordering platform for Uniforms will be going live from Tuesday 13th June.
This is a very exciting step forward for our P&C and school community, and one that we hope will make ordering uniforms for our students that much easier.
For those who may not be aware, our Uniform Shop has always been run by volunteers, and all of the ordering, stocktakes and sales receipts have been completely manual. I’m sure you can appreciate how time consuming this has been for those involved. By moving to an online platform we will not only have complete visibility of our stock quantities at any given time, but can also offer parents the ability to order uniforms whenever is convenient.
We will continue to open the Uniform Shop every Thursday 8.30am – 9.30am to enable students to try on uniforms. This time will also be used to pack any orders placed and delivered to the office ready for collection.
We will be sending home a flyer with all of the details on how to access School24 so please keep an eye out for this in the coming days.
Tuckshop – Wednesday’s and Friday’s
We would like to say a big thank you to Heather Oldfield, who has been running our tuckshop whilst our Tuckshop Convenor Alison has been unwell. Thank you for stepping up Heather, without your support we would not have been able to open and continue to offer this great service for our students.
Alison is on the mend and we hope to see her back soon and send her our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
To help ensure that our Tuckshop always has enough volunteers we would like to put together a list of people who may not be able to commit to volunteering regularly, but would be happy to get a call last minute on the off chance they can help. Perhaps a retired family member? Someone who works part time? Please contact Alison at tuckshop@dayboropandc.org.au or call on 3425 6111 if you know someone who may be able to help.
Communication – how would you like to hear from us?
Each week, there are lots of exciting things we would like to share with you all. We appreciate how busy everyone is, so we are endeavouring to streamline our communication so you can get the information you need, when you need it.
What would work for you? Shall we continue with our Facebook updates? Would you like us to start a DSS P&C facebook group that you can join? Would you like to find more information on a website?
Please let us know, we’d love to hear from you so we can continue to improve our communication with the school community.
Next P&C Meeting – Monday 12th June – 6.30pm @ Dayboro State School admin building
Thank you to everyone who attended the May meeting at the school and online. It was wonderful to have so many parents around the table sharing ideas and collaborating on future initiatives. There are exciting times ahead and we would love to have as many respresentatives from the school and community as possible, so please reach out to Johanna at secretary@dayboropandc.org.au if you would like to attend our next meeting.
