P&C News
We are now nearly half way through Term 2 and my goodness, hasn’t it been a busy one!
Our new P&C committee have been working very hard in the background and have well and truly hit the ground running.
Our fundraising team have done an outstanding job over the past few months. The Easter Raffle, Mother’s Day Raffle and Stall were a huge success, with a fantastic array of prizes sought and generously donated by local businesses and community members. The team are now turning their attention to Dayboro Day as well as planning for future events next term.
The executive team have also been hard at work, reviewing a number of platforms and systems that will enable us to move our Uniform Shop online and streamline our processes. Yes, that’s right folks, online ordering for uniforms!!!! Watch this space!
We are a new team and still finding our feet, so please don’t be shy if you have any feedback or suggestions, we would love to hear from you.
Mother’s Day Stall – Friday 12th May
Wow, what a huge few events we have had with fundraising from our small, but mighty Dayboro School community. We are blown away. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported our Mother's Day raffle. Special thanks again to our wonderful local businesses who contributed to our wonderful raffle prizes. Their generosity and participation made it a huge success, and we are so grateful for your support.
Thank you Woodside Ceramics, Balance Pilates Club, Lacey’s Creek Photography and IGA Dayboro, we’re sure that your generous gifts were gratefully received.
Thank you again to our committee members who put together a fabulous Mother’s Day stall and our beautiful parents who came and ran the stall so that every child got to shop for their loved ones. We were thrilled to see the smiles on the faces of the children as they picked out gifts at the stall. We hope that all the wonderful mothers and mother figures got to experience this joy as your gifts were presented over the weekend.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the wonderful individuals and families who have generously donated to our fabulous fundraising events thus far. Your support has been truly remarkable.
Dayboro Day Festival – Fundraising for the school’s ICT and STEM resources
The countdown is now on for the beloved Dayboro Day Festival, the first in 3 years! For those families new to the Dayboro community, Dayboro Day is a truly remarkable experience, a community celebration like no other. Held on Sunday 28th May this year, the Main Street and public spaces are transformed into bustling hubs of activity showcasing the local community, culture and its talents while providing fun for everyone.
In true community celebration, the P&C could not miss the opportunity to be apart of the day and will be running a stall throughout the course of the day hosting a bake sale and the crowd favourite “chocolate throw” game. We understand that our school community has already given so much, so the P&C Committee has decided to cover the costs of the chocolates for this game. However, we would like to extend an invitation to all the keen bakers in our community to contribute their delicious baked goods to our stall. We welcome all types of treats, and your contributions will be greatly appreciated. Please note that this contribution is not compulsory but an opportunity for those who wish to share their baking talents. To simplify this as much as possible, we also have packaging and labels available for collection from the office Monday 22nd May for the ease of housing your beautiful goods. We would kindly ask that any donations include a full list of ingredients clearly labelled on each item and that items be dropped to the school office from 8am Friday 26th May.
Additionally, we would be immensely grateful for the assistance of volunteers to help man the stall during the Dayboro Day Festival. If you have some time to spare and would like to lend a hand, we would be delighted to have you on board. Your presence will not only contribute to the success of our stall but also provide an opportunity to connect with fellow parents and members of our school community.
Once again, we extend our deepest appreciation to the entire school community for your unwavering support. We look forward to seeing you at the Dayboro Day Festival!

Communication – how would you like to hear from us?
Each week, there are lots of exciting things we would like to share with you all. We appreciate how busy everyone is, so we are endeavouring to streamline our communication so you can get the information you need, when you need it.
What would work for you? Shall we continue with our Facebook updates? Would you like us to start a DSS P&C facebook group that you can join? Would you like to find more information on a website?
Please let us know, we’d love to hear from you so we can continue to improve our communication with the school community.
