Welcome back to Term 2 everyone!
Lots of exciting events going on in Dayboro this term. Planning for the Mother’s Day stall and Dayboro Day are underway, Book Fair starts next Friday, Year 3-6 Athletics Carnival and two P&C Meetings this term. Lots of exciting events to get involved in.
We will be keeping you all up to date through the newletters and social media. Did you know that we have a Facebook page? Check us out ‘Dayboro State School P&C Association’. This is where we post information about upcoming events and volunteer registers, tuckshop, Book Club and any other exciting events happening around the school.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Easter Raffle, whether you were able to sell some tickets or make some donations, or both, it was greatly appreciated. The raffle was a huge success, our community raised just over $5600! Amazing!
Expressions of interest - Book Club Coordinator
Do you have a love of books? Do you have a few hours per term that you could spare?
Our Book Club Coordinator helps to coordinate the distribution of the Book Club catalogue, collect any manual orders from the office and liaise with Katrina Wilkinson in the library. It only takes a few hours per term and can be very flexible with time commitments. If you think this is something you could take on please reach out to president@dayboropandc.org.au or touch base with the office.
Expressions of interest – Book Fair Volunteers
The ever popular Book Fair is starting next Friday 28th April.
Mrs Wilkinson would love some help before and after school to assist students with their selection and purchases.
I have done up a volunteer register for anyone who may be able to jump in and help out for an hour before or after school. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated by the library team.
If you have a little one that would be happily entertained with some building blocks, reading a book or one of the library ipads, please feel free to bring them along.
Mother’s Day Stall – Friday 12th May
Our Mother’s Day stall is being held in Week 4 on Friday 12th May.
We have been busy creating some special gift packs that will be available to purchase on the day, as well as lots of other items that the students can choose from.
If you have some time during the day we’d love to have some helpers. Students take great care and time selecting that special gift for loved ones and counting their money, and can sometimes need some gentle guidance from us.
Please keep an eye out on our Facebook page for more information and some sneak peaks at our gift packs in the coming week.
Tuckshop
Did you miss us? Tuckshop is back!
To help ensure that our Tuckshop always has enough volunteers we would like to put together a list of people who may not be able to commit to volunteering regularly, but would be happy to get a call last minute on the off chance they can help. Perhaps a retired family member? Someone who works part time? Please contact Alison at tuckshop@dayboropandc.org.au or call on 3425 6111 if you know someone who may be able to help.
Next P&C Meeting – Monday 8th May – 6.30pm @ Dayboro State School admin building
We’d love to have as many representatives as possible come along to our next P&C meeting. We will have a face to face, as well as an online option for everyone. We will provide a link to the meeting closer to the day if you would like to join via Teams. Please contact Johanna at secretary@dayboropandc.org.au if you would like to attend.
