P&C News

Thank you to everyone who attended our AGM.  It was wonderful to see so many faces in the room and I’m thrilled to say that all of our positons have been filled, except for our Book Club Coordinator.  Our team have well and truly hit the ground running with lots of exciting initiatives underway.  We still have plenty of room at the table for anyone else who would like to get involved, so if you are interested, we’d love to see you.

Tuckshop

To help ensure that our Tuckshop always has enough volunteers we would like to put together a list of people who may not be able to commit to volunteering regularly, but may be happy to get a call last minute on the off chance they can help.  Perhaps a retired family member? Someone who works part time?  Please reach out if you know someone who may be able to help.

Alison would love a couple more volunteers this Friday and next.  Can you spare some time?  Please contact Alison at tuckshop@dayboropandc.org.au or call on 3425 6111.  It is wonderful to have so many students ordering tuckshop.  To help avoid any delays some extra hands, especially on Fridays, would be greatly appreciated.

Expressions of interest - Book Club Coordinator

Do you have a love of books?  Do you have a few hours per term that you could spare?

Our Book Club Coordinator helps to coordinate the distribution of the Book Club catalogue, collect any manual orders from the office and liaise with Katrina Wilkinson in the library.  It only takes a few hours per term and can be very flexible with time commitments.  If you think this is something you could take on please reach out to president@dayboropandc.org.au or touch base with the office.

Expressions of interest – Book Fair Volunteers

The ever popular Book Fair will be underway in Term 2, starting 28th April.

Mrs Wilkinson would like to invite any families that may be able to help out during Book Fair week.  Can you assist on any of these days?

Thursday 27th April – Book Fair boxes arrive, set up

Friday 28th April to Wednesday 10th May – Families visit, assist with restocking and helping students with their purchases

Thursday 11th May – remaining books collected by Scholastic, help with pack up

Whether you can help out during lunch time or after school, any assistance would be greatly appreciated by the library.

Easter Raffle – Donations and tickets due Thursday 23rd March (tomorrow)

Thank you to everyone who has already brought in their raffle donations.  We’ve had some eager students who have requested another pack of raffle tickets, if you would like any more please stop by the office.

Just a reminder that all tickets and raffle donations are due back to the office by 3pm Thursday, 23rd March.

We will be having a Packing Party on Friday morning to sort and wrap all of your generous donations and we would love some help.  Please find below a link to our ‘Packing Party’ volunteer register.  Little ones are more than welcome to join you, we can set up a mini packing party for all our little helping hands.

Thank you to everyone for all your support this term.  I hope you all have a lovely Easter and enjoy some down time over the holidays.
