Hi everyone,
As always I hope you are doing well – I know the end of the school term can be a really busy time for families! The Easter holidays are one of my favourite times of year. I am going camping with my family and some friends at a place called Cania Gorge. I’ve never been there before and I’m hoping to get the chance to do some photography, something that brings me joy but something that I don’t always get time to do. One of my favourite things to take photos of is landscapes. Stars, sunsets and sunrises in particular.
When taking photos of sunrises, I have to get up in the dark (I am so not a morning person!). I set my camera gear up as the black sky changes slowly to grey. Sometimes, this will reveal that there is a low lying fog on the ground. Living here in Dayboro, you probably see a lot of fog. As you may know, this is caused by low flying cloud made up of tiny water droplets or ice crystals. These droplets are so tiny and lightweight that they float on the air. Thankfully, as soon as the sun rises, the heat from it burns the droplets away and makes everything clear again. The sun rising and melting away the fog can make for spectacular photos!
Sometimes bad thinking patterns and behaviours can “fog” up our world view. I can certainly think of times where I have needed clarity in my life and couldn’t see the truth about who I am. Thankfully, the sun has always risen and cleared the clouds away. On the other side of my clouds, have been some really beautiful moments. So if you’re having a tough time at the moment or feel like you’re surrounded by fog – hang in there! Sunrise is coming.?
Breakfast Celebration – Last Day of Term (31 March)
On the final day of school this year we will be having a celebration breakfast. Children will be offered a free breakfast (blueberry muffins, yoghurt, fruit and juice) and parents will be able to purchase drinks from a local owned coffee cart. All of the proceeds from the coffee cart will go towards the chaplaincy service here at school. Come along at 7:30am onwards to meet some of the other parents from our wonderful school community while we celebrate finishing Term 1.
If you have any questions or need support in any way I have lots of practical resources available. Please feel free contact me at:
